2017: What a great adVenture

As 2017 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on another fantastic year at Venture, across our six County Durham offices.

From the launch of our platinum service for executive properties, to raising over £1,000 at our Macmillan Coffee Morning, to sponsoring an award at the Northern Echo’s Local Heroes Awards 2017, we have certainly set the bar high for 2018.

Here’s some of our favourite moments from the last 12 months.

Our first ever Tour de Branch was a ‘wheelie’ big success

On Sunday 20th August, a team made up of 25 amateur cyclists, including staff members, family and friends, eagerly set off on their most punishing challenge yet. The team cycled 41 miles, passing our Durham, Crook and Bishop Auckland branches, before finishing at our most southerly office, Darlington, all in aid of raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

After several exhausting but fantastic hours of pedalling, with a few little pit-stops thrown in along the way, the team all gathered to celebrate their incredible achievement at the finish line.

Raising money was the icing on the cake at our Macmillan Coffee morning

At Venture Properties, we love raising money for charity almost as much as we love eating cake – so, the Macmillan Coffee Morning was the perfect fundraising opportunity.

Across our six branches in County Durham, each team pitched in to buy and sell coffee and cakes to the local community, raising a grand total of £1,180.34 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

We upped our property game with the launch of our Platinum service

Our new premium service was launched, aimed exclusively at executive properties in County Durham. Venture Platinum includes a 3D virtual tour, professional photos, 3D floor plans and premium listings on Rightmove and Prime Location!

We spent the evening with sporting heroes at The Local Heroes Awards 2017

We had a brilliant time attending the Local Heroes Awards and it was a great honour to present James Rose with theRemarkable Achievement Senior Award, of which we were sponsors.

Not only did we get to presentthe award, but we also got to meet some of our own heroes too!

12 Paws of Christmas

This year, the Venture team decided to spread some festive cheer in County Durham, whilst also helping a worthy cause. We partnered up with Deerness Kennels to try and find a selection of 12 dogs the loving homes they deserve this Christmas. To everyone who has liked, commented and shared our posts, we thank you! We’re delighted to say we’ve found homes for some of the dogs already!

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our fabulous friends, family, teams and clients for making our year and to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Here’s to 2018!
