The British Property Awards have announced their winner for ‘Best Letting Agent in Darlington’ for 2023-24 and it’s good news for Venture. We won!
The awards are based on a set of 25 different criteria and different agents are judged over a prolonged period of time on service levels and professionalism. In our case we were mystery shopped on four separate occasions. We were judged, amongst other things, on:
- Our knowledge of a randomly selected (out of town) property, including the facilities in the home, what the local schools were like and how far amenities were from the property.
- What we would do for a prospective landlord whose mother was going into a nursing home, including what management package would suit his needs best and what he needed to do to get her home ready for letting.
- Our quick response to voicemails left out of hours and on a weekend.
The judges were especially impressed by the staff’s knowledge, advising that a lot of agents had to call them back whereas we knew answers to their queries immediately and were very impressive over the phone.
In our Lettings and Property Management team in Darlington we have 13 members of staff, all based in our Duke Street office, who have a vast wealth of experience. We are really proud to be a local, independent agent (Venture was founded in Darlington in 2006), who don’t put clients through to call centres in other parts of the country like some of our competitors do.
Estate agents aren’t all the same and Venture are proof of that.
