Report a Maintenance Issue

We hope you never have to report any issues in your home, however we understand that’s not the reality of living in a property. Whatever your problem, we’re here to help.

If the issue is an emergency – for example, your heating and hot water is off – call your local office straight away.

Reporting a maintenance issue has never been easier for tenants. Simply click on the link above 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the job will be logged with our Property Management teams.

All tenants must report maintenance issues via our website. This is to ensure everything is time and date stamped and a clear record is provided to both ourselves and you as the tenant. Not only this, our online reporting system gives you the opportunity to expand on details of the issue clearly – you can even attach accompanying photographs, to help us and our contractors better understand the cause of the problem so that it can hopefully be sorted out in one visit.

Reporting online is also useful as it can provide ideas for tenants to try before a report is submitted, which may resolve the issue.

Finally, there is the option of giving us consent for our contractors to enter your property with our keys, which may be more convenient for you, for example, if you are at work during the day.

Tips on looking after your home

  • Ventilation is key. Open windows regularly. A lot of “damp” issues reported aren’t damp but condensation due to a lack of air in the property.
  • Take on minor jobs yourself. For example, change light bulbs and smoke alarm batteries as required.
  • Dispose of rubbish regularly and properly.
  • Get written permission from your letting agent or landlord if you want to alter anything. For example, decorating.
  • Allow access for contractors to carry out any works required by the landlord.

Why report maintenance issues online?

  • It’s the easiest way, for both you and us.
  • We will insist on it if you call the office anyway.
  • Everything is time and date stamped and logged for your records.
  • Can be done 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Provide useful details for our contractors, e.g. make and model of boiler.
  • Give consent for contractors to fix the problem while you’re out of the house.
  • Send photographs to highlight the issue more clearly.
  • Cuts down on the need for several visits to a property.
